This study is about immigrant women's adaptation process to life in Korea and their experiences with family counseling.This paper was conducted on immigrant women who had experience with family counseling among families who were struggling with psychological and emotional problems in the process of adjusting to life in Korea.This study's subjects are four research participants who experienced family counseling at the J Family Center in J Region.A total of 8 sessions were conducted during the research period from May to August 2023.The research process was organized according to the flow of time, including statements about individual environmental factors, culture, and adaptation to Korean society, as well as the entire process of adaptation experience from the research participant's life before migration to the present.Therefore, the interview questions were described in the following order: the research participant's life before migration, the process of international marriage, difficulties in early adaptation, the adaptation process, and current life.This study found that immigrant women's successful adaptation experience, cultural adaptation to Korean society, and adaptation of family members are organically linked.Accordingly, this study shows that it is an important factor in immigrant women's adaptation process to life in Korea and their experience of family counseling provided with the assistance of local communities such as family centers.
