This research paper is about the study of transmission line earthing systems. The factors involved are soil type, soil resistivity, the water content in the soil, electrode diameter, and length of the electrode. These factors are used to determine the peak voltage, peak current, and ionization time. The data in the simulation was used to obtain the desired results. In addition, the comparison to the peak voltage, peak current, and the ionization time are also discussed. At the end of this report, the conclusion about the importance of soil-type electrodes is also discussed. This work utilized ATP-EMTP simulation models to examine the reaction of transients to current surges in an earthing system, considering various electrode lengths and soil types. Overall, the maximum voltage is 65 kilovolts. The peak voltage may remain unaltered by the moisture level in the soil. In the impulse experiments conducted on a resistive solution, it was anticipated that the resistance would remain constant as the current increased.
