The article is devoted to the consideration of the criminalistic diagnostic signifi cance of illegal Internet content signs being investigated for identifying information subject to extrajudicial blocking in connection with the legislative prohibition of its circulation in the Russian Federation. Special attention is paid to the issue of developing and improving forensic tools aimed at detecting criminal traces in the media environment, in accordance with the criteria according to which information can be classifi ed as prohibited for distribution on the territory of Russia. Based on a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach (taking into account the synergy of the private theory of criminalistic diagnostics and forensic speech exploration), scientifi cally based recommendations are proposed that allow solving the tasks of identifying (detecting) and fi xing illegal content for its legal analysis in order for a law enforcement offi cer to make a decision to block an Internet resource with information prohibited for distribution in our country.
