The content of the national minority (a physical array (group) of people of non-native ethnic status who live in a modern ethnic environment for themselves is considered). Today, the need for a deeper understanding of the genesis of the political contradictions and contradictions inherent in modern Ukrainian society around and regarding problems related to the dynamics of ethno-national and educational phenomena has become urgent. The content of the ethno-national policy of the democratic Ukrainian state is international harmony in conditions of ethnic diversity. The characteristics of national minorities are highlighted, the principles of the legal status of national minorities are listed, and the main elements of the mechanism for realizing the rights of national minorities are shown. Features related to the dynamics of ethno-national and educational phenomena for the Roma population in Ukraine and Slovakia are considered. The experience of introducing special measures by the Slovak government is shown, such as: the organization of preparatory classes, the training of teacher assistants, financial incentives to secondary schools for the integration of Roma children into the educational process, as well as additional motivation of teachers who work with such children, etc. However, all the measures listed above are not mandatory and are often not applied on the ground. Ukraine was and remains a state with a multi-ethnic population and a multicultural space in which nationally (ethnically) distinct cultural traditions and ethnic identities are present, weaken, strengthen, develop, interact, diffuse and at the same time compete. In recent years, attention to the Roma as an organic ethno-community in the multicultural space of Ukraine has successfully synergized the efforts of Roma public activists, non-governmental organizations and public authorities. The activation of their public life in conditions of decentralization, the growth of their public culture, the need for further integration of Roma into Ukrainian society, their participation in the defense of Ukrainian statehood in the ranks of the Armed Forces, etc. is observed. The content of the ethno-national policy of the democratic Ukrainian state is international harmony in conditions of ethnic diversity.
