Museology in Spain: From Museum Studies and Museology to Heritology

Since the 19th century museums have been studied in Spain with uneven zeal. Only at the turn of the second millennium Museology became the definite target of specialised publications and postgraduate courses. They seem to be losing focus in the twentieth century in favour of Critical Heritage Studies.
