The importance of the study is that it analyzes the geographical and economic positions of the border crossings as the main economic. The aim of this study is to analyze and identify the geopolitical importance of the border crossings in the Kurdistan Region, which is based on the geographical distribution of the border crossings and their role in the exchange of trade in terms of the type, amount and the volume of income between the Kurdistan Region and its neighboring countries.
