Abstract. The relevance of the study is due to the importance of the oil and gas sector of the economy for the sustainable development of the country. The leading methods in the study of this problem were the methods of content analysis of scientific publications and an expert survey, which revealed that at the present stage, the quality of business process optimization directly affects the success strategy of an oil and gas industry enterprise. The article substantiates a number of advantages of digital transformation of business processes: increasing the output capacity of equipment and wells, rationalizing maintenance and scheduled repairs, increasing production volume, and reducing the cost of extracted resources. The materials presented in the article on the problem of optimizing the business processes of the oil and gas industry in the context of digital transformations will not only automate the management of field infrastructure, but also quickly identify deviations, minimizing losses and increasing efficiency, while environmental principles are becoming a key factor in the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry. The technology presented by the authors will facilitate the prompt receipt of all production information, making management decisions without leaving the computer, optimizing production processes, increasing labor productivity, reducing oil loss, speeding up the timing of geological exploration and well construction (thereby reducing the cost of oil).
