Abstract PS 2: Emergency Preparedness - Learning from the experiences of migrants during public health emergencies like COVID-19 and improving preparedness for future crises - Emma Rawson-Te Patu and Tommy Curry, Auditorium A & B (Rectory), September 3, 2025, 12:00 - 13:00 This talk focusses us on the definition and understanding of the place of Indigenous Peoples globally. Understanding the burden of illness and disease faced by Indigenous peoples globally and also the place of ‘Equity’ when considering global health priorities is key to the success of the health of all. This talk presents the ‘Global Equity Framework’ founded on Indigenous knowledge and human rights as a tool for understanding how to ‘think’ from a reimagined understanding of equity and implement a decolonial practice that underpins the way forward to ensuring that all human rights to health and wellbeing are at the forefront of everything we do.
