This document presents guidelines for embedding citizen science (CS) practices within industries and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Based on desk research conducted within the EU funded European Citizen Science (ECS)project and on pilot activities implemented under Task 5.5, it identifies key benefits, challenges, and enabling conditions for private-sector engagement with CS. The focus is on organisational feasibility, ethical and regulatory considerations, and differentiated pathways for SMEs depending on their relationship with CS. The document provides practical guidance to support feasable and responsible integration of CS practices within private-sector contexts.
