A 37-year-old woman underwent routine antenatal ultrasound at 12 weeks’ gestation which revealed shortened humeral and femoral lengths for 12 weeks. A follow-up ultrasound at 16 weeks showed bowing in all the upper and lower long bones except the left forearm. All of which measured below the first centile. The findings were suggestive of lethal skeletal dysplasia. After genetic counselling, the patient elected for medical termination of pregnancy at 16 weeks.
