Background: Amyloidosis is characterised by extracellular deposition of misfolded protein fibrils and commonly involves the gastrointestinal tract, particularly the stomach and duodenum. While deposits can occur throughout the gastric wall, involvement limited to the superficial mucosa is rare and may be overlooked when deeper layers are emphasised during assessment. This case highlights an unusual pattern of superficial mucosal gastric amyloid.
