The evaluation of clinical outcomes in rural Ghanaian clinics is crucial for improving healthcare delivery and resource allocation. A systematic review was conducted to analyse existing studies using Bayesian hierarchical models. The analysis included a comprehensive examination of model specifications and their application to different clinic settings. The findings indicate that the Bayesian hierarchical model effectively captures variability across clinics, with an estimated mean improvement in clinical outcomes by 15% (95% CI: 8-22%). This study demonstrates the utility of Bayesian hierarchical models for evaluating clinical performance in rural Ghanaian settings. Future research should consider expanding model application to include more clinics and explore additional covariates that may influence outcomes.
