This work describes two different types of modification of amino acids and peptides. The first project focuses on the light-induced, additive-free arylation of tyrosine and tyrosine residues in peptides using phenyldiazonium salts. The influence of different phenyldiazonium salts, various peptides and different reaction conditions on the yield of the arylation reaction was investigated. In the second project, two novel Sox-fluorophore-containing amino acids were synthesized, incooperated into peptides and their fluorescence properties were studied.
