Urban Ghanaian children face significant nutritional challenges due to limited access to diverse food sources and inadequate dietary knowledge. A quasi-experimental study design with pre- and post-intervention assessments was employed to measure changes in dietary habits and nutritional understanding among participating students (n = 120). Students showed a significant improvement in their knowledge of healthy eating practices, demonstrated by an increase of 35% in correct responses to nutrition-related questions. The school-based nutrition education programme was effective in enhancing urban Ghanaian children's dietary knowledge and may positively influence future food choices. Schools should integrate regular nutrition education into their curriculum, supported by ongoing professional development for teachers.
