Background Group exercise classes (GEC) that involved body weight-based resistance training was reported to be effective in preventing sarcopenia; however, the COVID-19 pandemic has complicated conducting GEC. Therefore, developing alternative forms of exercise is necessary for older people to maintain their activity during the pandemic. This study aimed to examine the effects of online exercise classes (OEC) using body weight-based resistance training on physical function in older adults who have experienced GEC.
