Quality control procedures are crucial for final part quality. Additionally, advanced quality inspection tools e.g. X-ray based computed tomography (CT) can deliver important information through various steps of the production process. Especially for multi-step production processes like Metal Binder Jetting (MBJ), different process parameters and process steps can be optimized with a deeper understanding of parameter interactions. Therefore, a detailed CT analysis of test specimen in the green and sintered stage regarding process parameters and powder packing will be discussed. In the investigations, an immediate impact of the process parameters on the overall density as well as the pore structure could be demonstrated.
