In HOS cells, quercetin treatment leads to significant inhibition of glycolysis and tumor progression.
An approximate 50% reduction in tumor growth was observed following quercetin treatment over 72 hours.
Assessment of cellular mechanisms shows involvement of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway in mediating effects.
These findings highlight the need for further exploration of quercetin as a specific anti-cancer therapy.
