Entrepreneurship has been found to be an ideal career option for Gen-Z members due to their familiarity with entrepreneurship and their risk-taking nature. The current study aims to investigate the intention to become entrepreneurs among Gen-Z business students in Coimbatore. A survey study using a structured survey method is adopted with a sample of 210 participants from BBA, B.Com, and MBA courses. Percentage analysis, Chi-square, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis are considered for data analysis. The study revealed that attitude toward entrepreneurship ß = 0.36, p < 0.001 and perceived Behavioral control ß = 0.31, p < 0.001 were significant predictors of entrepreneurial intention, while subjective norms had a comparative moderation effect. Family business had a very strong correlation with entrepreneurial intention. ANOVA analysis revealed that MBA students have shown a very higher entrepreneurial intention than undergraduate students. Even though there is high entrepreneurial intention, financial risk, mentorship, and awareness regarding incubation support hinder entrepreneurship. The significance of developing and implementing a new strategy to close gaps in entrepreneurship-related curricula, institutional incubation, seed capital provision, and mentoring initiatives is emphasized in the current research study.
