eachers’healthliteracyisessentialforthedevelopmentofhealtheducationprogramsandstu-dents’healthliteracy.ThepurposeofthisstudywastoexaminethehealthliteracylevelsofGreekprimaryeducationteachers.WegathereddatafromN=998primaryeducationteachersworkinginpublicorprivateschoolsinGreeceusingtheHealthLiteracyQuestionnaire(HLQ)developedbyFletcher(2014).ResultsindicatedthatGreekprimaryeducationteachers’healthliteracywashighwiththosewithhighereducationalqualifications,thoseaged31–50years,andthosewithhighermonthlyfamilyincomedemonstratingstatisticallysignificanthigherlevelsofhealthliter-acy.Thesefindingssuggestedthatfactorssuchasprofessionalmaturity,continuouslearning,financialcapacity,andlifeexperiencepositivelyinfluencetheabilitytoaccess,understand,andapplyhealth-relatedinformation.Theimplementationoftargetedhealtheducationprogramsandcontinuousprofessionaldevelopmentopportunitiesisessentialtosustainandfurtherim-provehealthliteracyamongtheteachingworkforceinGreece.
