Natural resource governance in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been a contentious issue due to its rich mineral wealth and complex socio-economic landscape. This article employs a doctrinal analysis approach, reviewing existing laws, court decisions, and international norms to construct a comprehensive theoretical model. The theoretical framework identifies critical areas for improvement in aligning legal provisions with practical governance needs and enhancing local participation. Recommendations include strengthening enforcement mechanisms, improving community engagement strategies, and harmonizing international standards with national legislation.
