Urbanization in Seychelles has accelerated rapidly over recent decades, leading to significant changes in its cultural landscape and literature. Theoretical analysis based on existing literary works and critical theories of urbanity, focusing on themes such as migration, identity formation, and cultural hybridization in Seychellois literature. A theoretical framework that elucidates how urban imaginaries shape literary representations of Seychellois society provides insights into the cultural dynamics of rapid urbanization in small island developing states (SIDS). Future research could explore specific case studies within these themes to further validate and refine this theoretical model.
