Côte d'Ivoire's economy is heavily influenced by its informal sector, which contributes significantly to GDP but remains underreported in official statistics. A systematic review was conducted, synthesizing insights from various studies focusing on the informal economy's contribution to GDP in Côte dIvoire. Secondary data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The informal sector contributes approximately 45% of total GDP, with significant disparities across urban and rural areas. Policies aimed at formalizing the informal economy could enhance tax revenues and improve the overall economic stability in Côte d'Ivoire. Implement targeted reforms to facilitate legal registration for informal businesses, increase transparency, and provide support services to help them transition into the formal sector.
