This study explores strategies to enhance the development of professionals in disability sports by analyzing existing curricula based on Korea’s National Competency Standards (NCS) and international qualification models. Drawing on systems from Japan, France, and Italy, a four-tier framework is proposed—Assistant, Professional, Senior, and Executive Director. Each level emphasizes progressively advanced competencies in sports management, coaching, program planning, and legal literacy. The proposed system enables students to acquire job-ready qualifications from early stages and develop expertise through structured training. Ultimately, the study highlights the need for collaboration among public institutions, academia, and industry to build a professional education system that ensures the “right to sports” for persons with disabilities.
