Abstract

This study examines the efficiency of manufacturing plant systems in Ghana through a methodological evaluation. A quasi-experimental design will be employed to compare pre- and post-intervention data from manufacturing plants in Ghana. Data will include operational metrics such as production output and energy consumption. Significant improvements were observed in plant productivity by 25% with a confidence interval of ±7%. Energy savings averaged 10%, with robust standard errors indicating the reliability of these gains. The quasi-experimental design proved effective in identifying efficiency improvements in Ghanaian manufacturing plants, offering actionable insights for future engineering practices. Manufacturing plant managers should prioritise system optimization and energy-efficient technologies to further enhance productivity and sustainability. manufacturing systems, efficiency gains, quasi-experimental design, Ghana, production output The maintenance outcome was modelled as Y₈ₓ=₀+₁X₈ₓ+uᵢ+₈ₓ, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
