ABSTRACT A facile and robust palladium‐catalyzed approach has been developed to synthesize N ‐arylpiperazine containing phenylalanine derivatives. The developed synthetic methodology is amenable to gram‐scale synthesis and enables the efficient N ‐arylation of phenylalanine peptides, with yields up to 85%. The adaptability of developed methodology to various protecting groups is particularly advantageous for synthesizing a wide range of N ‐arylpiperazine‐substituted phenylalanine derivatives and peptidomimetics. Furthermore, this methodology was successfully applied to the phenylalanine conjugation with nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drug naproxen and an antibiotic ciprofloxacin.
