In deformation-induced martensitic transformation, it is crucial to understand the external load dependence of the energy barrier that appears during the transformation from the BCC to the FCC phase. In this study, we investigate the dependence of the free energy landscape of the Bain transformation on external loading conditions using molecular dynamics simulations. The results reveal that the energy barrier associated with the Bain path decreases under specific crystallographic orientations, providing insights into the strong orientation dependence observed in deformation-induced martensitic transformations.
