Increased efficiency in the activities of employees and digital transformation, which requires rapid change and is inextricably linked to the attitudes, purpose and meaning of employees, as well as procrastination arising against this background, is becoming increasingly relevant these days. In this article considered such phenomenon as procrastination (procrastination syndrome) and related concepts, which is a complex problem that needs to be examined. Psychological research in the field of procrastination is based on various methodological approaches in foreign and domestic psychological science show that procrastination can take place in any of the spheres of any person’s life activity - domestic, educational, labor and social. The degree of procrastination may vary depending on external (low systematization in everyday tasks, multitasking, distractibility) and internal causes (fear, unwillingness, irresponsibility, locus of control, perfectionism, emotional burnout). The results of the study showed that in the absence of a proper level of control from the manager and motivation from the employees, eliminating the causes of procrastination will be ineffective.
