This Special Issue of ADAC aims to gather papers in different areas of research such as Statistics, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence, to identify new models, methods, innovative procedures, and applications for producing high-quality data and timely statistics.Innovative multivariate statistical methods combined with data science and artificial intelligence techniques are now seen as useful approaches to modernize and speed up the data collection, analysis, and production of statistics useful to describe, forecast, and decide. This Special Issue was launched at the Conference of European Statistics Stakeholders, held in Rome at la Sapienza University. The conference was organized by ESAC, Eurostat, ECB, FENStatS, Istat, and the Bank of Italy and Department of Statistical Sciences, Sapienza University or Rome. The conference has seen the involvement of 571 participants with 273 attending the conference in Rome and 298 online. The conference successfully created conditions to connect researchers, users, and producers of statistics in order to systematically generate collaborations. This Special Issue 1 of volume 20 (2026) of the journal Advances in Data Analysis and Classification (ADAC) contains eleven articles that deal with Mixture of Regressions, Robust Gradient Boosting for Generalized Additive Models, Reconstructing the Foreign Direct Investments network, p-generalized probit and logistic regression, fuzzy clustering, kNN
