JAK inhibitors have fundamentally redefined the therapeutic framework for severe AA and serve as the functional probes that clarify disease biology underlying AA. Emerging evidence suggests that early intervention and standardized monitoring based on clinical information should guide treatment design. Future challenges include systematizing strategies for continuation, dose reduction, temporary interruption, and reinitiation based on patient background, as well as developing more effective combination therapies.
