In this article, we investigate Ćirić–Reich–Rus contractive type mappings with rational inequality in complex‐valued metric spaces (‐VMSs) and establish some fixed point results. We establish the well‐posedness of the considered problem and examine the relation between the fixed points of the mapping and those of its iterates, confirming the periodic point property. Furthermore, we extend these results for enriched Ćirić–Reich–Rus contractive mappings with rational inequality in the setting of complex valued normed spaces. We also show that the Krasnoselskij iterative sequence converges to the desired fixed point in this case. Our theorems extend and unify several existing results in the literature. Some examples are provided to show the validity of results.
