The article provides an analysis of the complex of heroic efforts undertaken in besieged Leningrad in 1941–1944, aimed at preserving the city's cultural and historical heritage from destruction in the face of air raids, regular artillery bombardments, food shortages, and low temperatures. The article also provides information about the heroic actions of a group of mountaineers who disguised the architectural landmarks of Leningrad and other landmarks.
