Is the internal jugular vein (IJV) approach safe for leadless pacing in patients where the femoral approach is contraindicated?
The internal jugular vein approach may be a safe alternative for leadless pacemaker implantation when femoral access is contraindicated.
Although experience is minimal, we suggest that the IJV approach is safe and may be considered in patients where the femoral approach is contraindicated.
