This preprint introduces OLPX, a perceptual-layer file format that encodes odor events without referencing specific molecules or hardware. OLPX defines a multidimensional coordinate space, a category table, and timing parameters so olfactory content can be authored, stored, and synchronised across devices. Numerical constants and implementation tables are reserved for a later technical release.
