ABSTRACT Crossed non‐fused renal ectopia should be considered in children with unexplained hydronephrosis. Anatomical malposition does not necessarily indicate obstruction; functional assessment with MAG3 renogram is essential to guide appropriate management and avoid unnecessary extensive surgery.
