Within the radiative-adiabatic model of the greenhouse effect for planets with a dense atmosphere an exact solution for the differential greenhouse effect was derived using the generalized implicit function method, in contrast to the previous explicit method. The study concludes that the differential greenhouse effect in a dense atmosphere with constant relative humidity is independent of the greenhouse gases spectral properties but solely dependent on their concentration. It has been proposed that the complete decomposition of all carbonates on Earth could lead to a greenhouse effect equivalent to the current greenhouse effect observed on Venus.
