CFA Archaeology Ltd was commissioned to undertake an archaeological evaluation across fifteen trial trenches. An archaeological trial trenching evaluation was undertaken by CFA Archaeology Ltd at Land off Badgeworth Lane, Shurdington, Gloucestershire in November 2025. The purpose of the archaeological works was to identify and record any remains of archaeological and historical significance and to follow up a prior geophysical survey. The presence of an Iron-Age ring ditch and several associated features with Iron-Age pottery within indicates a domestic Iron-Age settlement within the Site. Additionally, a ditch containing Romano-British pottery was recorded indicating a continuation of settlement in the Site, however further investigation would be needed to characterise the nature of the continuation.
