This paper reflects upon the piloting of a co-produced parenting group for women detained in a low secure unit (LSU) in the UK. Acknowledging the detrimental impact of parental detention on child development and the lack of therapeutic support for detained parents, the group aimed to provide a safe space for participants to explore their unique parenting challenges and build their confidence as parents despite the limitations of their situation.
