Education and politics are deeply interwoven domains that influence individual opportunity, social equity, and national development. Political decisions shape the structure, funding, and priorities of education systems, while educational experiences shape citizens’ political beliefs, participation, and empowerment. This paper explores the complex relationship between politics and education by examining historical foundations, policy formulation, the role of power and ideology, access and equity, and the implications of political influence on educational outcomes. Through an interdisciplinary lens, the research highlights how political governance affects education reform and how educational systems contribute to civic culture. The conclusion identifies critical areas for policy innovation to ensure that both politics and education work synergistically for societal advancement.
