The article highlights the role of methodology in scientific economic research and the identification of value orientations of economic processes, which allow for the definition of research goals and objectives within the framework of ideological and ethical prerequisites and historical and cultural contexts. It is determined that the methodology of digital transformation of the transport industry is based on the principles of digital philosophy, which addresses the issue of accelerated development of digital civilization and subsequent socio-economic and technological transformations. The article develops theoretical concepts and methodological approaches to the process of digital transformation of the transport industry, taking into account the specific features of the Siberian regions. The paper substantiates the need to develop a new methodological approach to the process of digital transformation of the economy in the Siberian region, the main provisions of which are to improve the quality of the digital space, ensuring the advanced development of digital technologies in the economy, increasing investment attractiveness, and ensuring the economic development of the territories of the Siberian macro-region, including the Arctic territories, through the formation of digital clusters that allow business partners to interact in a remote environment and reduce transaction costs. The authors conclude that the most important factor in the integration of companies in the digital environment within a cluster is the management, financial, and information transactions, and their digital interaction in a remote environment is stronger than the geographical proximity of economic entities. Despite their territorial separation, participants in a digital cluster gain additional advantages and benefits from transaction costs, as their interaction is based on digital communication technologies. Based on the results of the study, the authors conclude that the digital transformation of the economy, which represents a new type of technological paradigm, creates a unique opportunity for Russia to ensure the connectivity of the country's economic space, especially for those territories with low population density and limited economic development.
