SODa supports the transformation of university collections into key information infrastructures for research, teaching, and knowledge transfer. It focuses on building data competencies along the collection-based research data lifecycle, addressing Data Stewardship as a dual role: Research Data Management and data-driven research with object and collection data. SODa develops and delivers modular, practice-oriented training and support, including basic course workshops, advanced Open Educational Resources (OER), how-to tutorials (e.g., WissKI, OpenRefine), as well as consulting and helpdesk services. Its approach is community-oriented, discipline-sensitive, and grounded in instructional design. Positioned between local service units and national initiatives (e.g., NFDI), SODa addresses key challenges in Data Stewardship: strengthening collaboration, identifying gaps in roles, tools, and funding, and scaling good practices. At the same time, it promotes cross-disciplinary harmonization and interoperability of workflows and fosters community building across projects, disciplines, and institutions.SODa: Dieses Projekt mit dem Förderkennzeichen 16DKZ2016B wurde durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) und NextGenerationEU (NGEU) gefördert.
