The emergence of various modes of public transportation in Enugu has given rise to commercial tricycles especially in view of its flexibility and the need to cope with socio-economic trends. Of late, the contribution of this public transport services has seemly become significant. However, the sustainability of this transport mode has remained a source of concern since there have not been any details as to the perception of the users on the factors that attract them to this service. This paper attempts to empirically identify the prominent satisfaction attributes that attract passengers to use commercial tricycle in the various residential areas in Enugu urban. Both primary and secondary data were used in the study. 82% success was recorded as 287 properly filled copies of questionnaire were used for analysis out of the 350 distributed across twelve representatively chosen neighbourhoods in Enugu. Cluster sampling and simple random sampling techniques were used. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used to reduce the number of variables to achieve a more meaningful analysis. The result of the study showed that comfort (0.546), scheduling (0.765), appearance (0.876), speed (0.542), safety (0.643), comprehensiveness (0.765) and cost (0.775) were the prominent passengers’ satisfaction attributes that attract passengers to use commercial tricycle in area. This study recommended among others that policies that will directly or indirectly cause a reduction in the transport fare of this transport service be put in place since it (transport fare) recorded the least among the attributes that attract passengers to this transport service
