EXPRESS: Accuracy of intraoperative computed tomography to determine implant position in the feline vertebral spine
Key Points
Assess the accuracy of intraoperative c-arm based cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) for evaluating implant position in feline vertebral spine surgery.
Used intraoperative c-arm based CBCT for positioning assessment
Analyzed position in relation to thoracolumbar spinal canal
Performed on cadaveric cats
CBCT provided accurate positioning with minimal time for assessment
Showed potential for improving surgical outcomes in vertebral procedures
Abstract
Intraoperative c-arm based CBCT is an accurate and fast method for the assessment of pin position in relationship to the thoracolumbar spinal canal in cadaveric cats.
