This article presents a detailed analysis of legal mechanisms for protecting citizens' labor rights amid rising technological unemployment caused by automation and the introduction of artificial intelligence. A scientific analysis of the current Russian system of legal regulation of labor relations, including strategic documents on the development of artificial intelligence, reveals a fundamental contradiction between stimulating innovation and inadequate protection of workers' labor rights. The central problem is the gaps in Article 74 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, which does not provide for preventive measures to support laid-off workers.The study resulted in specific proposals for improving labor legislation by enshrining employers' obligations to provide professional training for staff and creating special compensation funds. These findings substantiate the need to amend and supplement current labor legislation to achieve a balanced approach in the context of the ongoing digital transformation of the economy.
