Investor awareness, behaviour, and decision-making in the Indian stock and derivatives markets are defined within the boundaries of financial awareness, financial literacy, and investment behaviour. Primary survey data have been analysed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression modelling, supported by secondary sources to identify the critical investor awareness dimension that significantly affects prudent financial behaviour regarding investments in stocks and stock derivatives. Financial awareness as well as digital financial literacy was found to be significant determinants of sound investment decisions with major implications for market regulators, service providers, and industry practitioners. Proper investment education forms an essential part of an investor-friendly environment that is necessary to protect their interests and maintain confidence in keeping the country financially stable.
