A new genus Boninorhinus gen. nov., with the new species B. longirostris sp. nov., belongs to the tribe Burmomaceratini of the subfamily Rhinorhynchinae and is described from late Cretaceous Burmese amber. This new genus can be distinguished from the genus Burmomacer Legalov, 2020 by its long rostrum, which is almost half the length of the body; its convex odd elytral interstriae; its antennae, which are inserted closer to the rostrum apex; its eyes, which are situated at the base of the head; and its metaventrite, which is almost equal to the first ventrite. This is the second discovery of a representative of the tribe Burmomaceratini.
