The advent of intelligent vehicles has enabled the real-time collection of road-safety data, which are critical for enhancing autonomous driving safety. This paper proposes a novel road-safety data collection method designed to provide vehicles with rapid awareness of real-time road conditions. To facilitate comprehensive data gathering, our solution leverages the vehicular cloud (VC) model to enable resource sharing and collaboration among VC members for generating vehicular data. Furthermore, the proposed method incorporates intervehicle mobility support to guarantee the successful collection of road-safety information. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and advantages of our approach.
