This study furnishes crucial theoretical and practical insights into psychometric assessments and their embeddedness in Human Resource Management, addressing notable gaps in existing literature. An inductive, exploratory approach was employed, using a qualitative single instrumental case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with purposively selected respondents, including C-level executives in the case organization and HR experts, and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings endorsed key themes related to psychometric embeddedness in HRM, such as assessing training needs and designing development plans, gamification, succession planning, retention, coaching, and personality testing, thereby demonstrating their practical application. Insights from an the case organization revealed how psychometric assessment is integrated into HR decision-making, interpreted by the C-level executives, and operationalized within organizational systems. The researchers utilized researcher triangulation and member-checking techniques to ensure the authenticity of the study’s findings. The study also identified challenges, including assessment costs and the need for specialized psychologists, and suggested directions for future research to further explore the integration and embeddedness of psychometrics in HRM.
