This topic presents experiences of using active methods in Materials Engineering undergraduate course in Brazil. From the experiments appointed, an analysis of the Pedagogical Project Course (PPC) of undergraduate courses in Materials Engineering is presented. Thus, the applicability of active methodologies in Materials Science and Engineering course (EMT) can be listed. The results show that learners are favorable to the use of active methodologies. However, more effective actions are necessary to convince the professors of the EMT.
