This deliverable presents the sustainability strategy and action framework developed within the gEneSys project (Transforming Gendered Interrelations of Power and Inequalities in Transition Pathways to Sustainable Energy Systems), funded under the Horizon Europe programme. The report aims to ensure the long-term sustainability, uptake, and exploitation of project outputs, methodologies, and evidence beyond the project duration, while maximising their contribution to research, policy, and practice related to sustainable and equitable energy transitions. The report provides an overview of the dissemination and engagement activities undertaken throughout the project and identifies the key stakeholder communities targeted to facilitate impact generation. Particular attention is given to actors operating across research, policy, education, innovation, funding, and international cooperation domains, recognising their strategic role in supporting systemic change and the mainstreaming of gender perspectives within energy transition ecosystems. Building on the evidence generated by gEneSys, the report highlights the project’s contribution to advancing understanding of gendered power relations across multiple dimensions of energy transition, including education systems, scientific knowledge production, workforce participation, policy development, and EU–Africa cooperation frameworks. It further outlines the methodological innovations developed by the project, particularly the Gendered Innovation Approach (GIA), which provides analytical tools for identifying gender biases and gaps in the design, implementation, and communication of energy transition pathways. The sustainability strategy presented in this report identifies opportunities for continued dissemination, scientific exploitation, policy uptake, and future research development. Proposed directions include the advancement of gender-sensitive indicators and standards, support for evidence-based policymaking, enhancement of educational curricula, strengthening of gender-responsive budgeting practices, and promotion of gender-sensitive partnerships within international cooperation initiatives. Overall, the report positions gender equality not only as a societal objective but also as a strategic and enabling mechanism for achieving more just, inclusive, and sustainable energy transition outcomes.
