The wave equation for a system of particles is derived on the basis of Podolsky's generalized electrodynamics. An extension of some work of Fock leads to a representation in terms of a series of functionals. With this formalism the matrix element for the relativistic interaction of two electrons is determined, and is seen to be a generalization of Mller's formula.
